The food was totally delicious. Everything from the catfish, rib beans, and rice to the Seafood gumbo the house toss salad and the land shops very tender, as well as the short ribs can’t go wrong on the menu, the drinks the atmosphere was amazingly nice. Desmond was our waiter and he was extremely above and beyond. I highly recommend to Dine-in @Fish Bones Northwestern Highway, Southfield, MI.
A recent visit reminded me just how special this restaurant really is. I grew up in the South, and shrimp and grits has always been my all-time favorite dish, so I thought I knew what great shrimp and grits tasted like. Turns out, I had no idea. This version completely blew my taste buds away. Hands down, it was the best shrimp and grits I have ever had and honestly, one of the best things I have ever eaten. As if that wasn’t enough, the catfish filet was the perfect finishing touch. I may need to plan another trip to Detroit just to experience the incredible food at Fishbone’s Rhythm Kitchen Café again. Every bite was worth every penny and then some.
First and foremost, love this place! It’s been around for over 20 years and only has gotten better in time, in my opinion. Food is a lot better, friendly wait staff, etc. However, I’m not sure what the deal is with the manager. Dark skin scruffy looking guy who looks like he wants to be anywhere else but there. This is not my first time noticing but my last visit I wanted to compliment my service and experience but when requested, he was apparently “too busy” though he was the only one there and I just wanted a quick minute… but outside of that, service was amazing. Food, 10/10! Didn’t get a drink this time because i was told there wasn’t a bartender there yet, sadly. The building is still new but could use some updates, does music play during lunch? faintly heard. Haven’t stopping coming here, probably not ever. Love it here!
This place is absolutely great. The atmosphere is amazing and there is plenty of room inside the restaurant. Parking is ok. I the staff is great and nice. Drinks will put you on your butt if you're not careful, lol. I've had a lot of items off the menu and haven't been disappointed yet. The alligator bites are one of my favorites on the menu. Some days they have live music and it's pretty cool. Overall, everything is cool here, and I love it.
We had a birthday party for my mother who turned 86🙏🏾. Leroy the Supervisor and his wonderful and dedicated staff did a fabulous job in serving us and making us feel so special. They were just simply magnificent 💯 and my mom felt so loved. They handled everything with professionalism, grace and kindness. I wish I could give each and every one of them a Great big 🫂. Thank you for making this day so special for my mom. I will scream from the rooftops how great the service is and how wonderful the staff is. Needless to say the food was excellent and plentiful. The food at this restaurant was incredible—everything was perfectly seasoned and full of flavor. We also took advantage of the lunch specials, which were a great deal. The service was excellent, and the staff was friendly and attentive. Just a heads-up, they do add an 18% gratuity to the bill, so be mindful of that. Overall, I highly recommend this spot and will definitely return whenever I'm back in Detroit!
Amazing experience at Fishbone Southfield! From start to finish everything was excellent. Our server was fantastic and gave great recommendations that did not disappoint. The food options were absolutely to die for. I ordered the lamb chops and they were cooked perfectly, tender and full of flavor. For the price of the lamb chops, I did expect a little more, but overall the quality and experience were still great. I would definitely return!
We planned a birthday party for our school principal who was a great administrator and Boy was the staff. They are very accommodating. When they learned this was a Principal’s 85th birthday they made the experience so exquisite by their service and kindness
Such an amazing time great food live band and lovely atmosphere. Definitely should go with your partner or in a group but I had an amazing time and was solo! Cant wait to become a regular! I had the lobster, crab cakes and tried a Caribbean martini
We had my daughter's rehearsal dinner here. There were 16 of us and we sat in a semi private section of the restaurant. There are a couple spots available like that and then there is a private room for a fee. Everything was fantastic. I worked with Leroy and he did such a great job. Upon arrival we found the long tables covered with a white table cloth and decorated with napkins and flowers in my daughter's wedding colors. The service was amazing. Our server checked with me as to when I would like the food to begin and numerous other details. We got a limited menu with 6 choices and they were personalized with a congratulations to the Bride & Groom. It came with salad, an entree, beverages and they threw in a complimentary dessert. The food arrived hot and it was all so delicious! Everyone was happy with their meal. I also loved the vibe. This is a wonderful place for large groups. I would definitely come back here for dinner or a special occasion.
